The new Summer job of a lifetime website is the one-stop-shop for students to register for their chance to fill the 100,000 paid roles helping to deliver the London 2012 Olympic and Paralympic Games.

All of the jobs will pay a minimum of £8.30 per hour and many of the roles will be at the London 2012 venues working for the contractors responsible for retail, catering and cleaning.

Podium has been working closely with London 2012 and Adecco, the official London 2012 recruitment partner, to help design the website and to promote it at more than 40 freshers’ and jobs fairs around the country.

The toolkit - containing posters, postcards and a website banner amongst other items - is now available to download by visiting our Resource section.

Please do help promote this once in a lifetime opportunity for your students to be part of the Greatest Show on Earth.

For further information about opportunities to work in security roles at London 2012 please visit Bridging the Gap, which is working with academic institutions across the UK to equip students with the necessary skills to be offered an opportunity for interview for a paid security role at the Games.

Hi, I am in the third year of third level education. I'm 20 years of age and am Irish. I have recently graduated from a Higher certificate in business studies and am now studying business management.

I have set goals for the next few months and one of them is to work in London during the Games. I would love to fullfill this goal and also hope to gain experience as I would love to work in london when I graduate.

Please consider my interest, look forward to hearing from you.

I'm a spanish student at the Univeresity in Alicante. I would like to improve my English, get work experience abroad and I'm used to work in the catering, entertainment for normal and disabled children.

Actually I speak fluent Spanish and Dutch, also some German and English. I would like to have a chance to work for the Games during the month August, but I don't know If I have to seek myself for a room to stay and for the flights to the Uk, or somebody does all these organisation for me?

Thank you in advance for your interest. Sincerelly, Inés

Hello,

I was wondering, if a student in the Caribbean (Trinidad specically) wants to work at the London Olympics for the summer, if that is in any way possible? The student is a 2nd year University student doing a Bsc. in Management/sports management. Thanks. I await your response.
