Find out what's on at this year's London 2012 Open Weekend - 23 to 25 July

Colleges, universities and students are being invited to get involved with Open Weekend, the annual UK-wide celebration counting down to the Olympic and Paralympic Games, which this year runs from 23 to 25 July.

A range of activities are taking place including:

Bodies Beautiful - a Paralympic sportswear and sports equipment design exhibition from the University of Brighton, at Jubilee Library which is taking place each day until 5pm.

Come and Try Orienteering at Canterbury Christ Church University on Saturday 24 July where participants will be put through their paces in a maze of the University’s buildings and parks.

Focus Here - A photography and sport project by artists and visually impaired students from the Royal National College for the Blind in Hereford.

See You Soon Animals! A collection of stuffed animals at the University of Manchester which aim to highlight issues such as habitat loss, extinction and climate change.

Urban Triathlon - City College Norwich will be inviting shoppers to have a go at cycling, rowing and kayaking outside Chapelfield Shopping Centre where the emphasis will be  on taking part and having fun through sport and exercise.

There were many colleges and universities involved in Open Weekend last year too. Click on the links below to read the reviews of each event.

The University of Leeds organised a unique morning of sport and family activities. The event began with a 5km run around Hyde Park in Leeds open to all regardless of experience or running ability – some walked, some ran, some jogged.

A student from the University of Southampton, Sana Rashid gave the public the chance to participate in dressing Southampton’s most famous landmark - The Bargate with her Medley Mix-Up event.

Coventry University teamed up with the Coventry & Warwickshire 2012 Games Partnership and Coventry, Solihull & Warwickshire Sport (CSW Sport) to host an Elite Performance Day.
