UK Sport's Sue Campbell gives London 2012 talk at Bucks New University

21 May 2010

Baroness Sue Campbell CBE, Chair of UK Sport and the Youth Sport Trust, will give a free lecture at Bucks New University outlining the work being done to deliver a successful legacy from London 2012.

The topics Baroness Campbell will cover at the University's High Wycombe campus on Wednesday include the revolution taking place in school sport since Great Britain won the bid to host the 2012 Games.

Baroness Campbell said: “I am delighted to be taking part in Bucks New University’s series of public lectures. With just over two years until London 2012 we have never had a better opportunity to use the incredible power of the Olympic and Paralympic Games to change the face of sport in this country.

“London 2012 aims to inspire a new generation of young people to take up sport. I am already beginning to witness first hand how all of these aims are becoming reality and I look forward to sharing my thoughts with all who are attending the lecture.”

The lecture will take place from 6-7pm in the Owen Harris Lecture Theatre. Admission is free and is open to anyone on a first come, first served basis.

Places need to be reserved from www.bucks.ac.uk/public_lectures, or for further information, contact Lorna West on 01494 603 002 or email lorna.west@bucks.ac.uk.
