London 2012’s education programme, Get Set, has re-launched its website making it even easier for teachers and students to find out about all the exciting information on offer.

The changes have been made following extensive feedback from users and the new website aims to make it easier for visitors to find their way around the website whilst also raising the profile of initiatives, programmes and opportunities run in association with Get Set.

The new look homepage will profile news stories, opportunities and initiatives in real time, making sure that the right messages are available to the right people at the right time.

The ‘Go Further’ section of the programme has been rebranded to ‘Get Set +. This change will make it clearer to everyone that the programmes running the eight strands are truly a part of the Get Set family, inspired by the Games and helping young people to learn about the values.

Research has shown that the video player is the most popular part of the website so a brand new player has been added with more flexibility than the previous one which will allow Get Set to feature more films in one place as well as the ability to profile films made by schools, colleges, students and partners of London 2012.

A resource search tool has also been added which allows teachers to search the site for specific content and introduced related content across the website allowing us to flag other, relevant opportunities to users.

Plus, there is more to come – in the next few weeks Get Set will be adding a searchable map, a bank of brand new Get Set network case studies, and a map which features every single member of the Get Set network.

Three more colleges have recently joined the network; Kendal College, Grimsby Institute of FE and HE and Richmond Upon Thames College. In total there are now 14 Get Set Network member colleges and 283 colleges are registered with Get Set across the UK.
