Changing Places Community Fund launches

6 January 2010

Communities across the country can now apply for thousands of pounds to help improve and celebrate their neighbourhoods thanks to London 2012.

The Changing Places programme will provide grants of up to £1,000 to enable community groups - initially within the host boroughs - to undertake small projects to improve their communities.

Volunteers are being asked to transform their local area, improving the negative parts, celebrating the good. The money can be used towards the purchasing of tools, hanging baskets, trees, graffiti removal equipment and anything else that will help make a tangible difference to environmental quality.
