The strategy, From Recession to Recovery: The Skills and Employment Strategy for London (2009-2014), which can be downloaded by clicking here, has been revised to take into account the impact of the recession.

The strategy maintains the goals of increasing skills in London’s workforce to improve the competitiveness as a global city, reducing the intractable levels of worklessness and the simplification of the employment and skills system.

The LSEB has also updated its evidence base, The London Story, to ensure that it has a robust evidence base upon which to build our revised strategy. The document paints a picture of a city with continuing structural challenges but dominated by a need to deal with the impact of the recession.

The LSEB’s first Annual Report has also been published presenting a picture of the progress the LSEB has made in its first year of strategy implementation. It features six case studies showing how LSEB's work is bringing systemic change and benefiting services on the ground for Londoners and businesses.
