Think big and enter Arts University Bournemouth's ‘Who Are You 2’ competition
1 March 2013
Are you a student in Further Education? Have you ever imagined seeing your artwork on a massive advertising billboard? Have you got an idea that’s big enough to express who you are? Well now is the time to show the world how creative you can be by entering the Arts University Bournemouth’s national art competition ‘Who are you 2’.
The Arts University Bournemouth is looking for creative individuals at Sixth Form and FE colleges to send in art work that answers the question ‘who are you?’
Whether you choose to work on your own or as part of a group you’ll need to create something that reflects you as an individual (or as a group).
You may want to create something that expresses what it means to grow up in your neighbourhood, or how you feel about the world you find yourself in today, whatever it is think big, think creative, think visual.
The winning entries will be displayed on 75 billboards around the country, with the winners being invited to London for a celebratory event including a chance to see their artwork on billboards in one of London’s most famous streets – Tottenham Court Road.
The artwork will be reproduced on a billboard that is 6m x 3m so it needs to be landscape and suitable for print, so unfortunately no sculptures, films, 3D or audio work. The image you enter should be no larger than 1200px wide at 150dpi resolution.
How to enter:
Email your entry to whoareyou2@aub.ac.uk together with your name, year group, email, contact number, details of your sixth form or college, plus a brief description (less than 50 words) of how your artwork fulfils the brief.
The deadline for entry is the 11th March 2013.
A panel of judges will select a shortlist of entries which will then go to a public vote on Facebook until 18th March. The top 20 winning entries will be notified by the 20th March.
