Watch Podium's video report from ParalympicsGB's London 2012 training camp
31 August 2012
As the medals continue to pour in for ParalympicsGB, you can watch how our athletes prepared for the Games at the University of Bath where Podium caught up with powerlifters Ali Jawad, Paul Efayena and sitting volleyballer Emma Wiggs (pictured) as well as the student volunteers who made the training camp possible.
The athletes were unanimous in their praise for the University. University of Chichester graduate, Wiggs said: “We’ve been lucky enough to use Bath University as a base and that’s involved students on their Masters, current students who have volunteered and it’s been a fantastic training base, something I wouldn’t (normally) have access to.”
One volunteer was full of praise for the athletes too. He said: “These guys (the athletes) are training twice a day and they adapt to things so easily and so quickly. And they just love life. It’s an infectious attitude.”
You can watch Tatiana Biktimirova’s video report from the training camp below.
