Universities host London 2012 Paralympic athletes

Universities around the UK have been hosting hundreds of athletes from around the world in their final preparations before they take the stage at the London 2012 Paralympic Games.
The University of Bath is the key base for the British Paralympic team, and are currently hosting over 100 athletes in the lead up to the Games.
- The University of Surrey are hosting seven nations.
- The Egyptian Paralympic team are training at the University of Lincoln.
- Swansea University is the base for the Mexican and New Zealand Paralympic teams.
- The University of Exeter and the University of Bedfordshire are hosting Ghanaian Paralympians.
- Paralympic athletes from the Solomon Islands are preparing at Cardiff Metropolitan University.
Other camps include:
- The Barbados and Nepal Paralympic team at the University of Kent
- Canadian Paralympians at Brunel University.

Bradford College & the University of Bradford hosted the Vietnamese Paralympic Association of 17 delegates for their Paralympic WheelChair Swimmers, WheelChair PowerLifters & Field Athletics from August 10 - 23.
It was a fantastic pleasure to experience the dedication and enjoyment of these great athletes, the City of Bradford has been honoured by their presence!
