A programme of events, many of them free, designed both to celebrate the spirit of the London 2012 Olympic and Paralympic Games and to give members of the public and local schoolchildren the chance to find out more about what the University of Surrey and Surrey Sports Park do.
’Celebrate Surrey’ is a programme of public events which recognises the contribution that both the University of Surrey and Surrey Sports Park make to the intellectual, economic and cultural life of the local, national and global community.
It also provides the opportunity to mark and participate in celebrations for the London 2012 Olympic and Paralympic Games. It includes everything from public lectures and arts performances to London 2012-themed masterclasses, sporting fixtures and competitions.
Highlights include:
iFestival - 27 February - 9 March
Alan Turing Centenary Celebrations - w/c 23 June
Olympic Festival, Surrey Sports Park - 14 July
Science Circus - 15 September.
